Tomorrow I was planning to donate blood, but I heard that if you have been to areas of Africa where there is malaria, or have visited the UK (and I have done both) then you aren’t eligible to donate. Is this true?

I have a friend from Australia, wanting to live here in the United States but can’t live here unless married ect..So we was wanting to know how many times in a year can she come to visit.
Other then marriage, how could she stay and work with out specail visas and hireing laywers?

i’m trying to save up enough money to go on a backpacking trip in summer of 09, which i know is far away. but im planning on financing the entire trip by myself so i’m saving right now. but i just need some help on planning my trip. like how can i find good hostels? where would i go? etc etc. i’m thinking about doing mostly central europe. any help is appreciated.

Looking for a camera that is thin and lightweight first.
Long battery life, good to great image quality, 4x or more optical zoom if possible, and ability to use high capacity memory card (such as 16GB SDHC).
I am planning a very long backpacking trip starting April 2009, and packing as light as possible. Anybody have good digital camera suggestion?
