What are the best things to do and places to visit when in Australia for a gap year without having to spend too much money?

I would really like for someone who is or was a travel nurse to tell me their experiences with travel nursing and if they enjoyed it. Also, what are the salaries and benefits?

Would it be different if the reason is business related versus Tourism related? Incidentally, he holds an Indian passport.

Someone told me I should take some immodium ad in case I get what is called travler’s diarrhea. I have my passport, but do I need a visa to get into South Africa? Also is there any shots I might need before I go? I had a friend who went to Ghana and she needed a yellow fever shot and a visa. I am going in November. Any other info would be great too.
