The Western Cape of South Africa Cape Town Beaches are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are beaches that are great for couples, individuals, and some that are best for families. The Western Cape of South Africa beaches are popular destinations for residents and tourists alike. The False Bay beaches along the coast of the Western Cape of South Africa are family friendly and warmer than the beaches along the Atlantic Coast. The Atlantic Coast beaches have a multitude of shops and restaurants while the False Bay beaches are more sparsely populated.

Atlantic Ocean Beaches on the Western Cape of South Africa

Along the Western Cape of South Africa are the beaches that have made the area known as the Cape Town Riviera. Te area is positioned along the Atlantic Cost on the western side of the Cape Peninsula. The beaches are more protected from the strong winds and have more time in the summer sun. However, the water does tend to be cooler on these beaches than on the beaches of False Bay.

North of the Atlantic Seaboard are the Table Bay Beaches of the Western Cape of South Africa. These beaches are near Robbin Island and Table Mountain and are perfect for surfing, paddle skiing, wind surfing, and swimming. Some of these breath taking beaches are Milnerton, Big and Little Bay, Blouberg’s, Table View, and Dolphin.

The Western Cape of South Africa beaches people visit if they want to be seen and to people watch are located on the Atlantic Seaboard. While people watching is one of the main activities you can also enjoy a game of volleyball, swim, and bathe in the sun. Some of the favorites in this area are the beaches of Sandy Bay, Hout Bay, Camps Bay, Three Anchor Bay, Seapoint, and Clifton.

False Bay Beaches on the Western Cape of South Africa

The beaches of False Bay are located off the coast of the Indian Ocean on the Western Cape of South Africa. Visitors are drawn to these beaches every year in because of the low key and relaxed atmosphere. These beaches are more family friendly than those on the Atlantic side, yet they can get almost as busy.

The beaches of False Bay on the Western Cape of South Africa are found between Cape Point on the western end of the bay and the Helderberg beaches along the eastern end of the bay. A few of the Helderberg Beaches are Kogel Bay, Strand, Gordon’s Bay, and Bikini Beach. All of these beaches are only about a forty-five minute drive from the city of Cape Town. These beaches are perfect for families who want to enjoy fishing, sun bathing, walks along the beach, surfing, and swimming.

The Western Cape of South Africa Cape Point Beaches are made up of Smitswinkelbaai, Boulders, Diaz Beach, St. James, Glencairn, Muizenberg, and Fish Hoek. These beaches are great for families to swim, surf, body board, and play in the sun.

All of the beaches along the coastline of the Western Cape of South Africa have something unique to offer visitors. The variety of activities ensures that all beach goers will have a fantastic time. If the beach you visit doesn’t have exactly what you are looking for or is too crowded for you, dozens of other beaches are only minutes away. The beaches along the coast of the Western Cape of South Africa are great for all ages.

Are You a Motorcycle Touring Connoisseur? if So, Enjoy Touring South Africa

many reasons why you should put South Africa at the top of your travel destinations list. This is one of those countries where you will be revitalized and enlightened, as well as entertained and excited. The people are amazing and the service is excellent in South Africa. You will be visiting a country with booming economy and sophisticated infrastructure, a country whose main cities look very much alike other metropolises all over the world. However, if you want to stay away from the buzzing of big cities, which you are already sick and tired of, and want to explore South Africa’s natural beauty, you can choose to go on guided motorbike tours of this country.

Touring South Africa will be a memorable experience for a number of reasons. First of all, a guided motorbike tour is not a very traditional way of visiting a country. This different approach makes to trip all the more special to begin with. Second of all, you will be seeing a lot of South Africa in just a week (or for as long as the tour lasts), as you will be covering over three hundred kilometers on each day of your guided motorbike tour. If you are a motorcycle touring connoisseur, you probably already know that there are many glorious mountainous areas in South Africa. These areas will not only delight your senses, but will also test your riding skills. You will probably enjoy traversing several major mountain passes, which are between twelve and fifty-six kilometers long. Moreover, touring South Africa is not just about riding your motorbike across the country. Guided motorbike tours typically include all sorts of activities, such as visiting places of interest (the Apartheid Museum, the Kruger National Park, the famous “Golden Mountain”, the Blyde River Canyon, the Gold Reef City theme park or the Cullinan Diamond Mine are just some examples), and engaging in exhilarating activities, such as an elephant-back safari or game viewing. Furthermore, guided motorbike tours are available with inclusive packages. Guided motorbike tours should include the motorcycle, petrol, motorcycle insurance, medical and life insurance, communication systems, a spare motorcycle, a back-up vehicle, dinner, bed and breakfast, light refreshments on tour, a tour booklet, the assistance of one of more tour guides, as well as cultural evenings and visits to certain places of interest. In other words, all you have to worry about is your crash helmet, gloves and protective gear, and additional expenses such as beverages or gifts and souvenirs. If you make a good choice of guided motorbike tour, not only will you be riding across South Africa and seeing some of the most exciting places in this country, but you also be benefiting from excellent service at five-star hotels, lodges and inns, as well as in exquisite restaurants, where you can have a taste of the best South African food and wines.

Touring South Africa can be a memorable experience, provided you make some investigations prior to embarking on any of the guided motorbike tours available. Guided motorbike tours of South Africa vary from one organizer to the next, in terms of tour maps, accommodation, facilities and activities. If you are not exactly excited about the already-existing guided tour offers, you should know that some organizers are open to suggestions and ready to take you on a customized guided tour that will include your specific demands.

I know of the barrier reef, but nothing else. I heard Sydney is beautiful. I have had a Foster’s a time or two. But what I want is a unique, not-so-prim-and-polished vacation, and to stay off the beaten path so to speak. I want to get a really good feel for the country. Anybody made a trip like this? Anything would be helpful.

Thanks, Steve.
