My bf, two of our friends and I want to go backpacking through Europe.I do not even know where you would start when planning this..So if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

Is backpacking really a smart idea? We all want to see different things in Europe so we said backpacking. Does it come out cheaper than just goin stay somewhere?

Any stories about good or bad expereiences would be great.
