Where to Visit in Australia, and how much would it cost?

I am planning to visit Australia in July/August. We will be traveling to Sydney and staying there for a week with friends, we wanted to where to visit, and how much would it cost (food, travel expense, & misc) from there we have one week extra, we want to know where next to travel and much would that cost incl. hotel accomadation
