How is the weater in August? Is it in the middle of winter and how cold does it get?

what airline, where is a good location to go, what is a good national park to go to, please if anyone has been there or knows any info they can give me please let me know, and what time of the year is a good time to go there

I’m thinking of making a trip down with a friend to Australia and am looking at cruising in Sydney and Melbourne and any place in between. I read somewhere that the best time to travel to Australia is December through February for the best weather but is April a good time too weather wise to visit Australia?

We are thinking of heading to Europe in May 2008 – specifically to London, Paris on day trips and a week or so driving around Italy, Spain and Portugal.
