I’m going to be heading for Cape Town then travelling along the south coast a bit. Any places i must not miss, things i should do or places i should stay. Am going to be backpacking it and staying in hostels so any money saving tips would be appreciated to!

I am planning a 30-day visit to Europe (Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Venice, Munich, Amsterdam, Brussels) on a budget during March of this year, therefore would like to stay in backpacker hostels. I shall be with a group of 5 persons. Everybody of the group intends to make it as cheap as possible. Now, should we book our stay in backpacker in advance before coming to each city or I can get vacant rooms on arrival?

A freind and I are planning a backpacking trip to Europe in the spring of 2008. I have looked at all the websites (Rick Steves, Lonely Planet, ect.) and can’t find anything about approximated costs, or how to figure them out. We plan on staying in hostels and going to as many major cities as we can (Paris, Roam, Prague, ect.) Can anyone help??

Please if anyone could give me a rough estimation in British Pounds of how much money I would need backpacking around Mexico (accommodation and spending money)

I am starting off in Mexico City and ending in Cancun, although I’d like to avoid the extreme touristy places. Obviously I know this will depend on whether I stay in posh hotels or hostels but just a rough guess to how much mixing the two.

i’m trying to save up enough money to go on a backpacking trip in summer of 09, which i know is far away. but im planning on financing the entire trip by myself so i’m saving right now. but i just need some help on planning my trip. like how can i find good hostels? where would i go? etc etc. i’m thinking about doing mostly central europe. any help is appreciated.
