OK guys - give me your top tips for things to eat, see, visit etc in Australia (anywhere) because I am going travelling there and want to see the best of the best. I’m not necessarily looking for tourist things - stuff off the beaten track is cool too…

My friends and I really like backpacking, and living in the outdoors. We were discussing taking a trip someone over the summer to go backpacking. The only problem is that we don’t know much about good backpacking trails. We would really like to know the best trails with the best scenery (like rivers and lakes and stuff like that) in the US, preferably the continental states. So, do you have any suggestions for me and my friends?

I’m going on my summer break soon, and I want to go to some neighboring countries. So, any suggestions where to go? Please give 2 kinds of answers- the best for shopping/ big city life, and the best beaches/ nature stuff. Thanks!!!
