to bring my girlfriend from the philippines to australia, is it better to obtain the visa from the philippines or get it in australia

I am from Malaysia, I plan to travel from London and visit Europe by train. Our currency in Malaysia is 6 time smaller then euro. So i need to work if I am to travel in Europe, can anybody help me with my question? I’ll be holding a visit visa, but would it allow me to work and travel as I visit from one town to an other?

Im going to go backpacking in Europe, and i was just wondering if a visa is really that necessary. I’ve heard that its common for people to be paid under the table. I’ll be going for a year, primarily in Ireland.

I’m retired, and looking to stay awhile. I don’t plan to work, just enjoy Aussie stuff. Anything I need to consider? Do I need a real visa, or can I just stay for three months on my US passport?
